2010-11 Filmmaker’s Shorts Competition
The Shorts Competition was established with a grant from
the Saul O. Sidore Memorial Foundation
The Goal: To encourage emerging filmmakers to submit original shorts addressing
“The Jewish Experience”

Eligibility:
· Emerging filmmakers (applicants at the beginning of their filmmaking careers), regardless of age, race, gender, religious affiliation, or national origin.
· Films must be from 1 to 15 minutes in length.
· Films must address the theme of “The Jewish Experience”
· All genres (documentary, narrative, poetry, animation, claymation, etc.) are encouraged.
Timeline: Deadline: November 1, 2010
· Submit DVDs or youtube original shorts!
· January 15, 2011 Finalists announced.
· February 24, 2011 Screening of Finalists’ Films and Awards Ceremony

Submission requirements:
· A completed entry form for each submission
· Submit DVDs or youtube original shorts!
· A DVD clearly labeled including submission title, entrant’s
name, and contact information
· Brief bio information for each filmmaker
· At least one production still photo for each submission for use in press and print
· The applicable entry fee for each submission
There are NO entry fees.
